So we decided to change the design for our arm. Instead of using the linear slide we are going to use more of a basic arm. We are going to have motors on each side lifting up a the arm. At first we didn't want to do this to save motors but it seems to be the best option. We could use rubber bands in order to help the arm raise itself up. We need to make sure it has enough power to lift up the mobile goals. Tyler is designing an end effector in Solidworks to 3D print as well.
